Education Coordinator -- MnABB

Organizational Relationship: Receives direction from the Association President and Board of Directors.

Position Overview: Assesses the educational needs of the Association membership and plans ways to meet those needs.

Term of Office: The educational committee chairperson is appointed by the President and shall serve for a term of three years to correspond with the cycle for chairing the Clinical Laboratory Collaborative meeting; may serve no more than three consecutive years.

  1. Assesses educational needs of the membership.
  1. Assesses the educational needs from forming special interest groups.
  2. Considers special educational techniques (i.e., sponsoring teleconferences, loaning audio-visual or other educational materials to members, etc.).
  3. Create a continuing education certificate.
  1. Takes part/represents MnABB as a committee member for the Clinical Laboratory Collaborative meeting.
  1. Performs as chair for the collaborative meeting a minimum of every 3 years.
